Sigenergy: technical questions frequently encountered by support

Answers based on anonymised patterns from resolved Sigenergy support tickets. Exact procedures depend on architecture and firmware.

What should be checked if mySigen does not recognise the inverter, battery or Gateway?

Check power supply, models and serial numbers, cabling and communication ports, addressing, terminations, firmware and correct plant association. Creating the plant does not guarantee that every device is linked correctly.

Why does PV production fall when the battery reaches 100%?

If demand is low and export is limited, the system must reduce production when the battery can no longer absorb surplus energy. Check the effective export limit, meter, setpoints and simultaneous PV, load, grid and battery curves.

What should be checked if the Gateway is offline or a contactor does not close?

Check power supply, communications, grid status, safety inputs, configuration, firmware and Gateway events. An open contactor may be a protective response and must not be forced without identifying the condition preventing closure.

How should an off-grid Sigenergy installation or generator integration be prepared?

Define grid-forming operation, critical loads, power and peaks, autonomy, neutral and earthing arrangement, Gateway, protection and generator logic. Any architecture without a Gateway or with third-party equipment must be explicitly validated.

What should be checked when consumption or export limitation values do not match?

Verify meter or CT position, direction and phases, phase matching, communications and power sign. Then compare actual measurements with the platform. A nominal 5 kW setting may behave as zero export if measurement or the effective setpoint is incorrect.

What information does support need to review a Sigen EVAC charger?

Model and serial number, firmware, grid type, contracted power, diagram, connectivity, mySigen status, authorisation method and error messages. For dynamic load management, identify the meter, limits and other coordinated chargers or loads.
