Seamless switchover requires the Gateway to be used with Sigen Energy Controller and Sigen Battery, together with the Sigenergy load conditions.

Does it support a generator?

Yes. The smart port supports a generator and two-wire start when wired according to the manufacturer diagram.

Can it back up the whole home?

It can be configured for whole-home or priority-load backup, subject to the 30 kW nominal limit and system design.
