How much PV power can be installed?

The data sheet recommends up to 12 kW of PV array and limits usable PV input power to 9.6 kW.

Does it support backup and a generator?

Yes. It states a backup output, 200% overload for 10 seconds, <10 ms switchover and a generator input.
