Clenergy photovoltaic mounting FAQ

Clenergy mounting selection by roof, loads, fixings, corrosion, torque, earthing and documentation.

Professional scope. Mounting is a safety system. Answers do not replace calculations, drawings, roof review or manufacturer instructions.

Diagnosis, selection and documentation

What data does a Clenergy enquiry need?

Drawings, location, roof, supporting structure, module dimensions, layout, loads, permitted fixings and waterproofing constraints.

Can mounting be chosen only from the roof type?

No. Support, material, thicknesses, geometry, loads, module, fixings, corrosion and project requirements also matter.

When is ballast or mechanical fixing used?

It depends on load capacity, wind, waterproofing, movement, geometry and project criteria. The complete solution must be calculated.

What must be checked on a standing seam?

Seam geometry and material, thickness, support strength, clamp compatibility, loads and roof manufacturer requirements.

Why are torque values important?

Incorrect torque can compromise fixing, module or warranty. Values and tools from current documentation must be used.

How are south-facing and east-west flat-roof layouts compared?

Through yield, density, shading, loads, aisles, drainage, maintenance and project objectives, not only module count.

What constrains a minirail solution?

Sheet profile and thickness, purlin location, screw, sealing, loads, spacing and module or clamp compatibility.

How is corrosion reviewed?

Considering environment, marine or industrial proximity, materials, galvanic couples, coatings, drainage and planned maintenance.

What must be checked for earthing?

Continuity, specified components, material compatibility, applicable regulations and project electrical design.

Can a bill of materials from another project be reused?

Not without recalculation and validation. Changes in location, roof, module, layout or loads may alter rails, fixings, ballast and accessories.
