AI takes residential self-consumption to another level
Artificial intelligence in action: a real-life success story

How Artificial Intelligence works in Sigenergy's systems and its ‘AI mode’.

Artificial intelligence applied to Sigenergy's energy storage systems is not just a tool, but the brain that transforms the way we manage and use energy. This AI mode analyses in real time multiple variables such as household consumption, weather forecasts and usage habits, to offer optimised energy management adapted to each situation.

The system learns from the energy behaviour of users and automatically adjusts priorities: from charging batteries at the lowest cost times, to maximising self-consumption when solar conditions are optimal. In addition, the AI mode is able to foresee possible demand peaks and activate strategies such as peak shaving, avoiding economic penalties and improving system stability.

All this happens automatically and transparently to the user, who only needs to activate the AI mode from the Sigenergy app. Once activated, the system takes care of the rest, ensuring that every kilowatt generated or stored is used as intelligently as possible.

‘Christian Capatt faced a recurring technical problem: every time he charged his electric vehicle at night, he exceeded the contracted power of his residential installation, causing automatic disconnections. Although his regular consumption was not a problem, the peak demand generated by the vehicle charging exceeded the limits of the contracted network.

Thanks to the implementation of a Sigenergy system with artificial intelligence, this problem could be mitigated efficiently. The AI mode analysed consumption patterns, identifying that vehicle charging always occurred at the same time of the night. Based on this pattern, the system pre-stored a percentage of energy in the batteries to cover the peak demand without recourse to the grid.

The result was an optimisation of the electricity system, avoiding outages and penalties for exceeding the contracted power. This case demonstrates how artificial intelligence can proactively manage energy and ensure more efficient use of available resources.
